Caron Harada is a Grant Manager that joined SME in January of 2022. Caron has prepared and submitted proposals on novel medical devices, drug discovery methods, and machine-learning applications in medicine. She leverages her broad interests and preclinical research background to aid clients in bridging the gap between invention and implementation.
Caron completed her Doctor of Philosophy in Pharmacology and Physiology from Saint Louis University School of Medicine and her Bachelor’s in Biological Sciences from Missouri University of Science and Technology. While at SLU, Caron developed a passion for technology transfer as a consultant in the BALSA group, a trainee-led organization out of Washington University in Saint Louis that provides consulting services to companies big and small in the Saint Louis area and beyond.
In addition to her professional activities with SME, Caron is working toward her wildlife rehabilitation certification. She volunteers with a wildlife rehabilitation clinic caring for Missouri wildlife. She also enjoys cooking, reading, writing, and playing video games.
